eQuipt Client Portal
This week’s update includes the following:
- A Change to the Registration Process
- Correction to the UTMA “Sign Up” Link

Update: Registration Process Change
In response to phishing concerns from clients and financial professionals, clients are no longer required to enter their full, nine-digit Social Security Number (SSN) when registering for eQuipt Client Portal. Instead of SSN, clients now enter their:
- Date of Birth
- The Last four digits of the SSN
- Five-digit Zip Code

With this update, your
client’s identity will still be confirmed while reducing client phishing and
registration process concerns. This change is only on the first (“Verify Your
Account”) step in the initial registration process.
FIX: UTMA “Sign-Up” Link Correction
Previously, a client’s personal information could not be confirmed when attempting to register using the Sign-Up link on the login page that was associated with a brokerage UTMA account. This was the result of an error message displaying when the correct information had been entered by the client, which then prevented them from registering (image below).
This issue is resolved,
and clients can now successfully register for eQuipt Client Portal with a
brokerage UTMA account number using the Sign-Up link on the login page.
